YOU CAN AND YOU SHOULD

Making African Youths Future-ready

Through education and writing, we equip children with the skills to shine as luminaries and lead as changemakers.

The Education Crisis in Nigeria

In Nigeria today, learning poverty affects 70% of children—meaning most 10-year-olds cannot read and understand a simple text. This isn't just about out-of-school children. It's about the deplorable state of education in the country.

We often treat access and quality as separate issues, but they're inseparable. Access makes no difference if the quality is poor. Many students fail exams not because they lack ability, but because they cannot read and understand the questions.

Africa has the fastest-growing youth population in the world

By 2030, Africa is projected to have about 42% of the world's youth. Whether this will be a crisis or an asset depends on us. We must act now to prepare these young people for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.

Why We Exist

The Luminary Foundation for Education exists to make African youth future-ready by equipping them with the mindset and skills they need to realize their potential, live with purpose, and contribute meaningfully to society.

We're committed to helping young people become valuable members of the global community. By insisting on quality education and making the transformative power of education evident for all to see, we're helping young people fall in love with learning.

Our Mission

Through education and writing, we equip children with the skills to shine as luminaries and lead as changemakers.

The Choice is Ours

Africa has the fastest-growing youth population in the world. By 2030, Africa is projected to have about 42% of the world's youth (15-35 years old).

Whether this will be a crisis or an asset depends on us. Our youth population becomes a crisis when the youths are uneducated, unemployable, and disinterested in enterprise.

It becomes an asset when our youths are future-ready and passionate about innovation and leadership.
